About Sunrider
The Sunrider story is a family story — blending ancient Eastern wisdom with modern Western science. Founded in 1982 by Drs. Tei-Fu and Oi-Lin Chen, Sunrider began with their passion for helping people through powerful herbal products and creating a path to wellness and freedom.
Tei-Fu, once a sickly child in Taiwan, was nurtured back to health by his grandfather’s herbal remedies — sparking his lifelong study of Chinese herbal philosophy. Together with Oi-Lin, a medical doctor from Hong Kong, they combined science, tradition, and entrepreneurship to launch Sunrider.
Today, the Chen family, alongside a global network of business owners, carries on their mission in nearly 50 countries.
